Cataract

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in your eye. As the lens becomes cloudier, the light entering the eye can no longer focus a crisp, clear image on the retina.  Patients generally complain of blurry vision.  They may find it harder to see signs as they drive at night.  They may also struggle with glare when driving at night or in the rain.  They may also require more light to read or have more trouble with reading small print.  Eventually, the lens becomes cloudy to the point that glasses can no longer fix the vision.
